Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Avocado Proxies. Please read them before you top up.

Last updated: 8 October 2026

This is a plain-language agreement between you and Avocado Proxies (referred to as we, us or our). By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.

1. What we provide

We operate a proxy gateway that forwards your HTTPS requests, and plain HTTP requests on the products whose pages say they carry them, to destinations you choose, with optional geographic targeting and sticky sessions. You top up a GB balance per product type at that type's per-GB price for the amount you buy, as described on the pricing page at the time of purchase.

We may improve, change or retire individual features. If a change materially reduces the value of GB you have already paid for, we will tell you and offer a fair remedy.

2. Accounts and proxy users

  • You must provide accurate registration details and keep them current.
  • You are responsible for everything that happens under your proxy users. Keep their passwords secret, store them outside your source repositories, and reset a password if you suspect exposure.
  • You may create multiple proxy users within your account. You may not resell, sublicense or share access with third parties unless we have agreed to that in writing.
  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract.

3. Traffic, payment and refunds

  • Prices are shown in euros and are exclusive of any taxes that may apply to you. The price at checkout is the price you pay.
  • Traffic is measured as the total bytes passing through the gateway in both directions, including protocol overhead. Your dashboard shows the same counters your balance is drawn down by.
  • You pay per GB, up front, when you top up. Billing is one-off per top-up: nothing recurs and nothing renews, unless you switch on auto top-up, which is described below. GB stay in your balance until you use them or close the account.
  • When your balance is exhausted, requests stop. We do not bill overages you did not approve.
  • Refunds: Unused GB are refunded on request within 14 days of the top-up. GB already used are not refunded. If we take a product off sale, we move your GB to another product or refund them. Closing your account forfeits any remaining balance, so ask for a refund first.

Auto top-up (optional). It is off until you switch it on, per product, on your billing page. If you do:

  • You choose a balance level and a pack. When that product's balance falls below the level, we charge the price of the pack to the card you saved for this purpose and add the GB to the balance, without you being present.
  • Ticking “Save this card for auto top-up” at checkout is your standing instruction for those charges. We keep two opaque references from our payment processor to be able to make them; the privacy policy lists exactly what we store.
  • We charge at most once an hour per product. If the card is declined or your bank asks you to confirm the payment, auto top-up pauses at once and the billing page says why. Saving a card for auto top-up at checkout, or switching it back on, resumes it. If a charge cannot be completed for a reason on our side or our payment processor's, we try again a few minutes later with the same payment reference, so you are never charged twice for the same top-up.
  • Auto top-up also pauses when a payment on your account is disputed, when a refund takes GB back off your balance, and when it comes due for a product we have taken off sale. A new card does not switch it back on in those cases; the billing page says what does.
  • You can switch auto top-up off, or remove the saved card, at any time on the billing page. Removing the card ends the standing instruction and deletes the references. Charges already made are treated like any other top-up, under the refunds point above.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the service for anything unlawful where you are, where we are, or where the destination is. Specifically, you may not:

  • Access systems without authorisation, or attempt to break authentication or access controls.
  • Run credential stuffing, brute-force attacks, or traffic intended to degrade a service.
  • Send spam, phishing, malware, or anything designed to deceive recipients.
  • Collect personal data in breach of applicable data-protection law.
  • Infringe intellectual property rights, or circumvent technical protection measures.
  • Distribute material that sexually exploits children, incites violence, or harasses people.
  • Load-test infrastructure you do not own and have no written permission to test.
  • Resell access, or present the service as your own product, without a written agreement.

You are responsible for complying with the terms of the destinations you reach, including their terms of use and any applicable robots directives.

5. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access immediately if we reasonably believe that these terms have been breached, that our network or another customer is at risk, or that we are legally required to act. Where circumstances allow, we will contact you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.

You may stop using the service at any time, and you can close your account yourself from account settings in your dashboard. Closure is permanent and cannot be undone. Your proxy users stop being accepted within seconds; connections already open finish or time out on their own, so stop your jobs first if you need them to end cleanly. Any remaining balance is forfeited; section 3 says how to have unused GB refunded before you close the account. We keep the payment records the law requires us to keep, with your name removed.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the gateway available, but we do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Maintenance, capacity changes and events outside our control can affect it. This does not cover failures caused by your own configuration or by destinations declining your requests.

7. Your content and our confidentiality

We do not inspect, store or analyse the contents of the traffic you route through the gateway beyond what is technically required to forward it and to count bytes. What we do store is set out in the privacy policy.

8. Warranties and liability

The service is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from your use of the service in breach of these terms or of applicable law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will give reasonable notice by email or in your dashboard before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Avocado Proxies is established, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you locally.
